So I needed to make something for my very first blog hop! The CTMH (Close To My Heart) Obsessed Scrappers blog hop included the challenge to select a sketch from one of two sites & use it as the inspiration. I chose sketch #95.
There are several cards I need to make, but I didn’t want it to be a card for someone who might see it on the blog before I sent it to them. So…I chose to make a birthday card for one of my sisters, who is not on Facebook. I really like the way it turned out. This is a 6 x 6 card & if you can’t easily find envelopes for this size card, you can order them from me by clicking the Close To My Heart link at the right.
The card base is CTMH Laughing Lola cardstock. The banner & the three flourishes are from CTMH flaxen cardstock. The banner was cut & stamped with the CTMH Artiste Criccut cartridge & stamp set in black ink. I adhered it with foam dots for dimension. The flourishes were cut from Spellbinders die – Floral Flourishes.
Then I added some bling with CTMH black shimmer trim, a CTMH teal resin flower & some pearls.
A final touch was to emboss the back flap with the Anna Griffin Briar Rose border embossing folder.
Thanks for looking & please visit the next blog on this hop (I think you’ll really enjoy it!) at: http://peachylamb.blogspot.com

That’s a beautiful card. I love you embellished the envelope too. I certainly need to do that. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
You showcased the Laughing Lola paper quite beautifully. I love the addition of the flourishes and the pops of Flaxen.
Thank you!
Thank you Diana! I agree this was great fun! I will check out your Thankful Thursday hop, too!
Thank you Kim. Although I’m usually attracted to the bright colors, for some reason, I just love this pattern.
Thank you Kim. Yes, it’s neat to see everyone’s ideas & I’m also looking forward to the next one.
Thank you, Cathy.
Thanks Joy! (And thanks for all your mentoring!)
